Working Principle of Cyclone Cluster
Each hydrocyclone within the cluster operates on the principle of centrifugal separation:
1. Slurry is fed tangentially into the cyclone body at high velocity.
2. Centrifugal force caused heavier particles to move toward the outer wall and spiral down through the underflow outlet.
3. Lighter particles and water spiral upward and exit through the overflow outlet.
4. In a cluster, multiple hydrocyclones work simultaneously to process high volumes, either independently or with shared feed and discharge systems.
The system offers continuous, high-throughput operation with efficient classification or dewatering.
